Dynamical Systems

Keywords: cellular automata, neural networks

Categories: Computer Architecture

Author(s): Martin Westhead

A Dynamical System is a system with a number of properties which evolve in parallel over time. They can be described as differential equations, using geometrical descriptions or computational models. Examples of dynamical systems include cellular automata, neural networks, spreading activation networks, Hopfield Nets, Boltzman Machines and Genetic Algorithms.
