Library-based Planning

Aliases: Variant Planning

Categories: Planning

Author(s): Jim Doran

Instead of the plan required for a given task being constructed de novo, a plan library is maintained and, given a particular task, a relevant plan is found in the library and adapted to the current need. This may involve storing, with the plans in the library, information about their derivation. The idea is similar to Case-based Reasoning.
