A plan structure embodies a partially or totally ordered set of partially instantiated Operators together with the (sub) goals to which they are directed, and information which indicates how the planning environment is predicted to change as the plan is executed. Plan structure can be contrasted with Goal Structure, as used in Operator Tables where the purposes of the plan's parts are recorded.
